PCM Recorder MK II app for iPhone and iPad

PCM Recorder is a free app from TASCAM that turns your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad into a portable stereo recorder.
Use it with the iM2 to record yourself any- where you go.

PCM Recorder has input and output level faders with an “on-screen” meter to help you check levels.
It includes high and low EQ and a limiter to prevent overload.
Save your recordings to your computer as WAV files or share with friends and fans by uploading them to Soundcloud.

* iPhone 4S & iPad2-> Recommended to limit recording to less than 3 hours.
Similar to the iPhone 4, the additional CPU and resource load imposed by iOS7 on these devices has been noted to cause unexpected stops during long term recording.
Our experiments have so far shown that if other applications are quit, up to 3 hours of recording is possible before the OSs background processes interfere unacceptably.
Please keep recording length to under 3 hours on these devices.

* In iOS7, pressing the Home Button twice brings up a list of running apps. Touching and dragging a app upwards will quit it, freeing up device memory and CPU load. See your Apple devices user documentation for details.

* Use with the TASCAM iM2/iM2X/iXJ2 Microphones and interfaces.

* Please wait a few seconds for the iM2/iM2X/iXJ2 to be recognized and configured by iOS before starting recording. When ready to use, the TASCAM device name will be displayed under iOS Settings -> General, and the TASCAM PCM Recorder Application input selection will show [STEREO], {L-Mono] or [L+R] after the OS has successfully selected the external input provided by these TASCAM products.

* If the TASCAM PCM Recorder application is operated while iOS is configuring a newly connected iM2/iM2X/iXJ2, that external device may not be correctly recognized.

* Please do not remove the iM2/iM2X/iXJ2 while recording or operating the PCM Recorder App. This can cause the iOS device to operate unreliably.

* If the iOS device has a protective case, ensure that it does not interfere with correct insertion of the iM2/iM2X/iXJ2 into the Dock connector. A partial or unstable connection may occur, resulting in unexpected operation of the device or inability to record correctly.
